i want to paint rainbows

so anyone who knows me knows i love stripes. i just adore those freakingly loud horizontal stripes that just defies all good fashion sense for the XL me. something so nautical or parisian about them that just draws me to those horizontal lines. i once had a shirt dress with black and white horizontal lines on it and movie buddy asked if just broken out of jail. yeah - like criminals wear topshop with ruffles on its sleeves :P

so anyway i was on my way to buy sushi for dinner when i walked pass uniqlo. uniqlo has this amazing striped tshirt collection that i got one from last year and have been overwearing them with my navy capri pants. 

and lo and behold the collection is back! with more colors, navy with white stripes, white with colorful stripes, gray with black stripes, black with gray stripes. a girl who loves stripes can not feel like more in heaven!  i was spoilt for choice, but chose the safe navy one. 

but alas, i am kind of tight for money this days so in the end decided against it, and left it on some unmanned shelf. and left with a heavy heart towards jusco.

but my face was lit up again like a christmas tree because the new laura ashley is open! 

yum! if i have the money and the right size, i would have bought the WHOLE store! i tried on a mermaid skirt, against my very rational head that just knows it would look horrible on me and my very wide hips(yes it did). who actually looks good in a mermaid skirt? size 2s? urgh. anyway. left the skirt nicely in the changing room and sauntered towards the home area. the wallpapers are lovely! i would very much like to cover a wall in my room with it. we’ll see. maybe a 2012 project. 

so i ended with nothing else but sushi. but all is well. after all i go to OU 5 times a week. ;)
