Proper

as promised a proper post. a proper jumbled up post that is. i just realised i have taken so many pictures with my camera and where better to showcase it than here. 

1st up the barbecue. it was the year end (2011 that is) and i havent seen half of my friends for half of the year. so i decided to have this little barbecue. plus they havent seen the new barbecue set. plus the new barbecue set was seriously underused. it was a good night. with lots of laughter and gossip and all that thing we vandy do when we get together. of course lots of food. i hope everyone went back full. 

next stop for me was PD. we decided to celebrate the year end/new year there. my mom was trying to get out of the house so we got some last minute chalets at the Legend Hotel. Little did we know that next door is the international water chalet homes with your own private pool! bummer. never mind just another reason to go again. ate satay, a months worth of seafood and daddy had a taste of sup gearbox yg tepi jalan. and then we saw fireworks. nothing extravagant like the ones in kl but it was good enough for alif. 

early in the new year we also celebrate my mom’s birthday. we went to meatworks! yum. the ribs wasnt so fabulous though that night. and anyway this reminds me i still havent bought my mom anything. crap. thank god for that money i stashed on her behalf. so i can just whip out my card and go ‘mummy dearest do you want anything?’ HAHA

we didnt do anything for chinese new year and then walla suddenly its february (i’m not one to complain, i’m hoping time just flies by till its july already). but yesterday we went to raju after almost  year of not going there. whats not to love about eating under the trees on banana leaves with the greatest chili chutney ever? hehe. but i think rjau was better before. i dunno maybe we all grew out of raju (NOOOOO)

an afternoon

so i was working from home last friday, and since i call kl my home i decided to work in bangsar. other than that my mom has a lunch date and needed someone to drive her there so it was a perfect arrangement. then my sister is off to work and my dad for friday prayers and my brother with that cheeky face of him so i decided to bring him along. 

so anyone who knows me know that i simply adore pasta. what’s not to love? its noodles with just any imaginable sauce you want. the simple tomato sauce, the humble olive oil, or the heavenly cream. pick your choose and you have comfort food to last you an afternoon. 

so off to alexis we did (i did give my brother the choice to choose between alexis and the thai restaurant next door - he chose alexis) and pasta we ordered. then it was some sauntering around and fooling around and i’ll let the pictures tell you the story. 

of course no picture of moi since i dont trust my brother with my camera. my ipad though is a different story altogether
